David Stewart, Interim Chief Executive Officer
David Stewart has 30 years of experience in operations, management, acquisition, development, and financing of senior living properties. David currently serves the senior living industry as an independent board member and interim Chief Executive Officer. Over the last 20 years, David served in executive management roles for two different senior living providers: Chief Executive Officer of Continuums Foundation, and President of Senior Living Services at Provident Foundation. David graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Memphis with a BA in Accounting. David is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) in the state of Tennessee.
Amy Shellnut, Assisted Living Administrator
Amy is a graduate from Grand Valley State with a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Therapy. Amy has been part of our team since 2007 with a sincere love for working with residents. She has been deeply involved in Quality Assurance and with various project work. She has worked more than 25 years total in healthcare with the majority of her time with seniors in long term care. She became a licensed Nursing Home Administrator in 2013. She is married with two great kids, a dog, a cockatiel bird, and a rabbit. Amy enjoys singing, music of all kinds, dancing, camping, fishing, bicycle riding, traveling, and techy stuff.
Angela Turner, Nursing Home Administrator
Angela is a licensed Nursing Home Administrator who has been in the business of serving the needs of seniors in skilled nursing, assisted living, and independent living settings since 1993. She earned her M.B.A. online from Western Governor’s University in 2017, and received her undergraduate degree in Health Care Management from the University of Alabama. Angela enjoys yoga, is an avid football fan, and roots for the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Michigan Wolverines at every opportunity. She has one daughter, a new son-in-law, and multiple cats. Angela believes that serving the needs of our seniors is her highest calling.
Barbara Kramer, Senior Housing Manager
Barb is a native of Michigan and adores cold weather! She has studied Business Management and Gerontology and has spent most of her career in geriatrics. Barb has worked with us for “a very long time” and is proud to be a part of the organization. She is the wife of Jay Kramer whom is employed at Bob Maxey Lincoln-Ford. Barb grew up in St. Clair Shores, and has resided in Clinton Township since 2010. Barb enjoys her home and has a special love for Christmas. She enjoys trimming her tree and decorating for the holiday season.
Doug Edwards, Director of Philanthropy
Much of Doug's career has been centered in college and university administration with an emphasis on marketing and fund raising. He worked for an international university for five years which gave him an opportunity to visit several foreign countries and participate with many different cultures. His multi-faceted career has given him many opportunities to be creative and innovative. He has been very successful in his fund raising career and is pleased to help build the fund raising program here at the Care Center. He has taught several art courses on the collegiate level and enjoys hobbies of music, painting and golf. He has a wife Janet, two children, and five grandchildren.
Shannon Snelgrove, Director of Nursing
Shannon has been a Registered Nurse since 2001. Prior to becoming an RN, she was an LPN for 4 years. Shannon holds a Bachelor degree with a double major of Psychology and Sociology. She spent much of her career in acute care working in various specialties including GI, Orthopedics, Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Respiratory, Addiction Services, and Sickle Cell Management. She has been in long term care with the elderly for the past several years. Shannon is passionate about excellent care for residents and raising the bar with quality improvement initiatives. She was born, raised, and educated in Canada, and has lived in the USA since 2009. Shannon is married with 3 beautiful daughters.
